Settle into downtown St. John’s and leave the car parked while you explore Water Street. Colourful streets, working wharves and a harbour framed by hills make an inviting first chapter. Keep today light after your flight. Overnight: St. John’s.
Spend an unhurried morning at The Rooms, then return to the old streets for lunch and independent shops. This is a day for understanding the island through its collections and everyday city life rather than rushing between sights. Overnight: St. John’s.
Visit Signal Hill for harbour views and historic context, then spend the afternoon around Quidi Vidi. Choose short viewpoints or a longer walk according to the weather and your footing. Leave room for a leisurely meal back in town. Overnight: St. John’s.
