01
Days 1–2 · Banff

Ease into the mountains

Collect the car in Calgary, pause in Canmore and give Banff a full day for Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka and the town trails before moving on.

02
Days 3–4 · Lake Louise

Emerald water, early starts

Base near Lake Louise for Moraine Lake access, the lakeshore and Yoho’s quieter viewpoints. Shuttle arrangements matter here in peak season.

03
Day 5 · Icefields Parkway

The road becomes the day

Allow a full day for Peyto Lake, Saskatchewan River Crossing, the Columbia Icefield and all the stops that are impossible to plan from a desk.

04
Days 6–8 · Jasper

Canyons, lakes and breathing room

Use Jasper for Maligne Canyon, Maligne Lake and a quieter day around Pyramid Lake before returning south or continuing to Edmonton.
